About me

I'm Kritikesh Rajpurohit, from Rawatbhata, Rajasthan (near Kota), India. I studied the Earth, I teach what I learn, and I'm now building a career in applied AI.

What I'm doing now

• Executive Post Graduate Programme in Applied AI and Agentic AI, IIIT Bangalore (online with upGrad), July 2026 to March 2027.
• Building portfolio projects in data analysis and AI. The first, an analysis of New York taxi demand, is in my portfolio.
• Writing a research paper on water poverty in the Bhil tribal region of Banswara, Rajasthan, which includes interviews with residents.

Education

My M.Sc. dissertation was Tribal Poverty in Southern Rajasthan: A Case Study on Bhil Tribes.

Skills, honestly rated

• Working: QGIS mapping (georeferencing; maps of India and Rajasthan down to village level; watershed, river and peak maps), research and field questionnaires, prompt and AI workflow design.
• Basic: Python (NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib), SQL, Excel, satellite and terrain data (Landsat, Sentinel, DEM, NDVI).
• Languages: English and Hindi.

Teaching and exam preparation

Since 2018 I have prepared for the UPSC and RAS civil services exams alongside my degrees, and I qualified UGC-NET Geography for PhD admission. Over the same years I have tutored students for competitive exams. I teach from the prerequisites up: fill in the background first, then climb step by step. That method is what this site's blog, Curious Sparoows, is built on.

Outside work

• Ideas: philosophy and psychology, and how they link with mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. I read across genres, especially self-help.
• Stories and screen: story writing, film-making, sketching and painting; films of every genre.
• Practice: Vedic chanting, flute and Rajasthani safa tying.
• Hands-on: badminton, gardening and cooking.
